I am a fan of the 50 Shades of Grey series and the Bared to You series. As I liked both this one was a surprise and I loved it. I thought this was better than both of them put together. I found a new author who can't write fast enough. Arianne Richmonde is a new fave for me.

'I'm mad, I'm sad, I've been crying, I want to hit some characters in the book...well more than one person actually!
This book was an AMAZING read for me. It started off where Shades of Pearl left off. The book grabbed me right from the start and I did not want to put it down. I personally love Arianne Richmonde's writing style. I think she did an excellent job with these characters and the story line was VERY original. I know without a doubt, that book 3 is a MUST READ for me! '

'I love this book and wish there was a 10 star rating. The author builds you up to THE MOST AMAZING CLIFF HANGER that I have ever read. This is not your typical 24 year old virgin story, 40 year old Pearl has real life experience, some good and some terrible.
The twists and turns that the author takes us on are out of this world, the places they visit, the conversations they have and the sex scenes, wholly cow!
This is a Must Read but make sure you have nothing else to do because you will not put down this book.---Moms-a-reader Books

Shades, Shadows and Shimmers.... This trilogy ROCKS!!!

This is a review of all three books. Arianne Richmonde has written an exquisite, intriguing, genuine, sexy trilogy about the story of Pearl Robinson who is a forty year old documentary producer and really hasn't started living life yet. She meets and falls for Alexandre Chevalier who is a young internet billionaire hotty. Their love ignites off the pages but dark secrets and jealous family members threaten to pull them apart. This is a fantastic read! This trilogy has great character development with excellent plot development with just the right amount of suspense to keep the pages turning. It twists and turns with intrigue and sexy love scenes. This second book leaves you hanging and wanting to jump right into book three.
What I loved about these books:
1. That Pearl is 40!!!! This rocks that a woman of this age can be smart sexy and the turn the head of a young bizillionaire. Loved her from the beginning. She's a complete woman in every aspect but just needs Alexandre to awaken her sexual side... and boy does he.
2. The love that Pearl and Alexandre has is genuine and real but has a fairytale side too. It's developed well and magical.
3. The secondary characters REALLY add to this story. They are woven in and out of Pearl and Alexandre's story and really help to round out the entire trilogy and keep the plot suspenseful. A devious sister and psycho ex-girlfriend.... As well as others.
4. That Alexandre is French and the history and travel to this different country and to London really paints wonderful pictures of scenes from abroad. Awesome history is shared of this country in just the right amount to lend to this wonderful story.
5. The sex is H. O. T with just enough detail.... WOW.... (That's all I have to say about that)
Do I recommend: ABSOLUTELY... one of my favorites of the year. The trilogy is complete so you don't have to wait.

OMG Heart stoping

DO not read this till you have read 40 shades of pearl. I am so in love with the characters, This book liked to have killed me at the end. I am so messed up from it it's not funny.. I really need the 3rd book before I go insane!!! Lots of thanks to the author for making me so addicted I am getting ready to turn 40 this year myself.

Arianne Richmonde blew me away ! What an ORIGINAL heartrending story!
She has done it again with her amazing writing style. But what a plot! What a fabulous storyline! I loved Shadows of Pearl maybe even more than Forty Shades of Pearl. I wasn't sure how Alexandre's and Pearl's story would continue after the seemingly HEA in book 1 but she more than delivered with this heart-wrenching, nail-biting novel which has you on the edge of you seat. I couldn't put my iPad down!
I have now read the whole trilogy and what I love so much is the way each book is different, each with its own journey and character development. You get to understand why the protagonists behave and think the way they do. Anyone who says that Pearl is an immature forty year-old has obviously not turned forty yet or is totally devoid of a sense of humor. Do we really want to be reading about some always do-and-say-the-right-thing heroine? Forty year-olds feel just as vulnerable as twenty year-olds when it comes to love; maybe even more so. They are just as sexy, just as beautiful. Forty year olds carry baggage, have wrinkles, have a past. Where are people getting this nonsensical idea that by the age of forty you should have your head completely sorted out? That's what makes Pearl so lovable. She is vulnerable, real and flawed. And she makes mistakes. Yet we are rooting for her all the way. I LOVE Pearl and her mad antics. She is one of the most believable heroines in a long time.
Arianne Richmonde doesn't lay it all out on the table as with, for instance, Bared To You. E.g...letting readers know from the outset that they will be reading about two messed-up characters. Her writing is more subtle, more layered. You discover little by little that both Pearl and Alexandre are both unusual and yes, pretty screwed up. There is humor, too. Neither takes themselves too seriously which I love.
In Shadows we see Pearl in a different light. As the title warns us the 'shadows' of her past' come back to haunt her and jeopardize her relationship with Alexandre. But the truth is, the way the novel is so cleverly structured and paced, we DON"T KNOW WHOSE SIDE WE"RE ON! There are so many twists and turns in this book that it elevates it to way more than just an erotic novel. At one point I didn't know WHO to believe. GREAT JOB Arianne Richmonde!
I really think this trilogy should be on the New York Times Bestseller list. It is different, really well written (perfect grammar, no repetition, great dialogue). Anyone who skips this trilogy is really missing out.
